The 24-month LegalWise Learnership is accredited through Intec College and includes practical training. The purpose of the Paralegal Learnership is to promote access to education and training for both employed and unemployed youth.
The 2018 intake includes a total of twenty-three learners who were chosen to participate in the Learnership, with the aim of equipping learners with a comprehensive overview of all aspects of paralegal specialisation and the application of private and public law in general, as well as within the LegalWise context.
The objectives of the Learnership are to: equip the learners in pursuing a career in law with a Paralegal Diploma within the LegalWise context; implement accredited learning; and possibly recruit unemployed learners, on their successful completion of the Learnership.
“Learners will be acquiring new knowledge and skills and applying these in the workplace, and in turn, the Company will be raising the skills levels of employees while improving work performance,” says Jayshree Dexter, Learning and Development Manager.
