This powerful truth lies at the heart of the LegalWise Give-As-You-Earn (GAYE) Payroll Giving Programme. When each of us contributes even a little, together we create meaningful, tangible change for people and communities who need it most.
How Payroll Giving Works
The GAYE programme provides employees with a simple, convenient mechanism to give back. Each month, employees can pledge an amount to be deducted directly from their salaries.
What makes this initiative even more impactful is that LegalWise matches every donation Rand‑for‑Rand, instantly doubling the contribution. All employee donations and matching funds are placed into an interest‑bearing account managed by our payroll giving partner, the Southern Africa Philanthropy Foundation. Funds — including any interest earned — are distributed to beneficiary organisations every six months.
Over the past year, thanks to the generosity of our employees and the Company's matching contributions, we have collectively donated approximately R220 000 to worthy causes.

The Message Trust - Empowers at-risk youth in Cape Town by breaking the cycle of gangsterism, offering reintegration support, entrepreneurship training, and pathways to employment. “Because of LegalWise we've been able to walk alongside young people in Nyanga, Parkwood and Jozi East through weekly community engagement, empower students and creatives through life skills and outreach programs, and create meaningful employment pathways for youth at risk and those reintegrating after incarceration. Your contribution is helping us build hope, restore dignity, and transform lives – we're deeply grateful.”

CANSA - A national organisation providing care, education, and support to cancer patients and their families, while funding vital research. “As a Service Coordinator at CANSA, I have had the privilege of engaging with the underserved community at the Mamelodi West Child Welfare Centre. Through our outreach programme, we provide vital education about various types of cancer and offer free Clinical Breast Examinations to community members. The gratitude from the Mamelodi West community was overwhelming; they expressed deep appreciation for CANSA's presence and support. This experience reaffirms the importance of our work and the real difference early detection and education can make in saving lives.”

African Children's Feeding Scheme - Founded in 1945 to combat malnutrition in Gauteng. Today, they provide meals to approximately 32 000 school children every day. “Each contribution we receive helps us shape the lives of our community members, especially our children, in ways that are both meaningful and transformative. Thanks to the generous support from LegalWise, we have been able to expand our Toy Library program significantly. One of our beneficiaries, a bright and curious young girl named Amahle, shared her excitement after visiting the Toy Library for the first time. She said, "The toys are not just fun, they help me learn and play with my friends. I feel happy every time I come here.”
