Corporate Social Responsibility
Joining Hands With Our Communities.
Our LegalWise Champions have a proud history of mobilising their talents for good in support of our communities and this Mandela Month was no different. Under the theme 'Joining Hands, Connecting Communities', we honoured the legacy of Nelson Mandela by actively engaging in community building activities aimed at combating poverty, addressing inequality and strengthening social cohesion.
Our Legal Call Centre and Outbound Call Centre participated in a number of activities including donating clothing, baby things, nappies and porridge to the Florida Baby House. They also spent 67 minutes interacting with the babies, as they crave human touch. The team also donated blankets and pet food to the SPCA; supported the Dr Havenga School Primary School feeding scheme with donations of cereal, sugar, milk, soup and yoghurt; and made 67 sandwiches which were donated to the less fortunate.
Our Quality Management department participated in Mandela Day, by purchasing 67 meals and handing them out to the homeless.
Other members of the Quality Management team joined hands with a local organisation and participated in the Hope Project by donating groceries.
Champions at our Bloemfontein Service Centre had a pop-up soup kitchen for our Members and the homeless.
Champions from our Durban Service Centre collected monies and donated groceries to the Balwin Foundation.
The Pietermaritzburg Service Centre donated clothes, toiletries and party packs to the children from Sunlit Garden Home for Children.
