Corporate Social Responsibility

Our Champions Mobilising their Talents for Good.

LegalWise has a long tradition of employee volunteerism with our Champions being provided various opportunities throughout the year to mobilise their skills and talents in support of vulnerable communities.

Social Development Month is celebrated each year in October to mark our nation's commitment to caring for the most vulnerable in society. Consequently, through the shared value partnerships we have with our community partners, LegalWise strives to contribute to positive transformation through our Impilo employee community service activities.

‘Act Now - Don't Look Away!' - 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children

Given the scourge of gender-based violence in our country, the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children Campaign which runs from 25 November to 10 December each year provides an opportunity to take action to break the cycle of violence.

As an organisation which aims to empower South Africa through access to justice, our Champions mobilised their talents for good in support of victims of gender-based violence during this 10-day period in an effort to change mindsets and help turn the tide on this societal ill.

LegalWise Champions joined hands with the TEARS Foundation to provide care packs for survivors of gender-based violence which were donated to the Thuthuzela project. The Thuthuzela project is led by the National Prosecuting Authority's Sexual Offences and Community Affairs Unit (SOCA), in partnership with various departments and donors as a response to the urgent need for an integrated strategy for prevention, response and support for rape victims.
