Community Rewards Programme: Honouring 40 Years of Service to our Communities
Act Now. Nominate a charity organisation in your community to be one of the recipients of R40 000!
Over the last four decades, LegalWise has served our communities through providing access to justice for all. Since its inception, the Company has shown commitment to the communities in which we operate by investing in activities which support positive transformation in these communities.
Following an Asset-based and Citizen-led Development (ABCD) approach, we believe in placing communities at the centre of their own development as they are in the best position to ensure meaningful transformation for those it affects most. It means starting with what you have and building on what you know. Our communities are the main driving force behind their own development and their active participation is crucial for the sustainability of any development activity. We strive to focus on what is strong, not what is wrong and create opportunities for communities to mobilise their own gifts and talents, instead of bringing in outside solutions to their problems.
As part of our 40-year celebrations, we invite our Members to participate in our Community Rewards Programme, offering R40 000 each to five Community- based Organisations which our Members believe are contributing to building stronger communities through making use of their own assets and resources. Members may nominate organisations in their community who have taken responsibility of initiating community building activities designed to improve the lives of those around them.
In order to nominate an organisation in your community, you will need to complete a Nomination Form by:
> Completing the nomination form included in the WiseUp or
> Visiting the LegalWise website Community Page to download a nomination form.
The closing date for nominations has been extended! All nominations must be submitted by 31 May 2025 and the five Community Rewards Programme beneficiaries will be profiled in upcoming editions of WiseUp.
