LETTER FROM THE CEO
Dear Member,
As the year draws to a close, I would like to take this moment to thank you for being part of the LegalWise family. This year not only marked our 40th anniversary but also a renewed commitment to empowering our Members with access to justice and protecting their rights.
With the new year comes fresh beginnings and exciting opportunities. As we step into 2026 together, staying connected will be more important than ever. We encourage you to take a moment to update your details with us. This will ensure that you continue to receive important updates, news, and valuable information designed to keep you informed. You can send your updates to memberadmin@legalwise.co.za
We take a moment to honour 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children. This period serves as a meaningful reminder of our role in promoting justice, respect, and protection for our Members. Let's continue to raise awareness, stand in solidarity with those affected, and work towards a society free from violence.
As you prepare for the year ahead, this is a perfect time to ensure that your affairs are in order. We assist our Members with the drafting and safekeeping of their Wills, giving you peace of mind that your legacy is secure and your family is cared for when it matters most. If you haven't yet drafted your Will or need to make updates, visit your nearest LegalWise Branch or contact us for assistance.
We're also proud to share our continued support for communities. We extend our congratulations to Uboumi Obutsha Centre, Golfing Sharks Social and Development Club, and Inkulisa Holistic Resource Unit, our Community Rewards Programme recipients. We salute them for their outstanding commitment to uplifting their communities and promoting positive change. Further, we donated R150 000 to our Payroll Giving partners, joining our employees and on behalf of our suppliers and partners in making a meaningful difference across South Africa. These dedicated organisations support the vulnerable, care for the sick, protect animals, nurture rural entrepreneurship, and help break the cycle of crime, creating lasting impact in their communities.
As the festive season approaches, we remind Members that employers have a legal duty to safeguard their rights and well-being of their employees, even during this demanding time. This is particularly relevant to industries such as retail, where workloads often increase. We also remind employees to act responsibly at year-end functions, as violations of company policies can have real consequences. Maintaining professionalism and accountability is crucial throughout the holiday season. We discuss the rollout of AARTO, which is being implemented in 69 additional Municipalities effective 1 December 2025, and what this means for motorists across the country.
We are pleased to introduce a new tool designed to help you understand your potential legal costs. Simply answer a few quick questions. Give it a try on www.legalwise.co.za, the results may surprise you.
Finally, our Mbombela and Mthatha Branches have been successfully relocated to provide our Members with improved accessibility, a more welcoming environment, and enhanced facilities.
Look out for our new television advertisement coming to your screens soon on SABC 1, 2, 3 and eTV.
During this festive season, we hope you will take the time to pause, reflect, and connect with the people who matter most.
We look forward to walking alongside you in 2026 as we continue to make justice accessible to all.
