In a first, LegalWise South Africa hosted its annual Network Attorney Conference on 19 May 2021 virtually, allowing members of the Network to join the session from across the country. The Conference afforded LegalWise the opportunity to strengthen its working relationship with its Network Lawyers who play an integral role in the service they deliver to their Members.

The dialogue is with remarkable women who will share their stories of how they are using the law as a vehicle to empower women and their communities.

Nothing beats the excitement of going on a school activity (“activity”) for various reasons within or outside school premises. Added to that excitement, is being away from class or being away from home. An activity may have its risks, which is one of the reasons why parents/legal guardians need to consent to an activity. The school will try to protect itself against different forms of liability by requesting parents to sign an indemnity form for the activity. The South African Schools Act (“Act”) sheds some light on this topic.

A student who completes his/her properly accredited LLB degree at an accredited private institution qualifies to be admitted as a legal practitioner.
